FREE EVENTS IN REGULAR SCHEDULE

FACILITATED DISCUSSION ON ASPECTS OF PRACTICE
First Tuesday of each month, a discussion about an aspect of practice will be facilitated by a Senior student or Teacher.  May 3, June 7, July 5 and August 2.  In these discussions we learn from each other.

COUNCIL
Green River Zen Center does a monthly council practice on the last Tuesday of every month. It will take place this season on May 31, June 28 and July 26. Council is a circle practice of listening and speaking from the heart. Its foundation is consonant with the Three Tenets of the Zen Peacemakers: Not-knowing, bearing witness, and loving action.

GATE OF SWEET NECTAR
Green River Zen Center usually chants the Gate of Sweet Nectar, the Zen Peacemakers’ liturgy feeding all the hungry ghosts, on the third Saturday of each month at 9:40 am following meditation. This season the Gate will be chanted on May 21 and July 23.

RENEWAL OF VOWS CEREMONY
A ceremony renewing our vows to the Precepts will take place on Tuesdays, May 17 and July 12.  All are invited to participate.

REFLECTION ON PRECEPTS
A guided reflection, on how we as individuals are observing the precepts, will take place on Saturdays, Jun 11 and August 20
