September 30: BEING AT PEACE, led by Sensei John Kealy
I welcome you all to our monthly one-day retreat when we explore our humanity and the gift of life. Mark Twain once said, “ I am old now and most of the things I worried about never happened." How true this is for many. What is our mind? How does it control our lives?mmWe will spend the day in deep questioning of "Mind,” and "No Mind is Buddha," exploring how can we be at peace with our mind when the very function of mind is to think? Stories in the Torah and the New Testament offer similar understandings, with misinterpretations leading to division between families, communities and countries. Join me in the journey to our ‘True Self.’ Meditation, a dharma talk, and a day of contemplative exploration. Please bring a sack lunch. Snacks, coffee and tea will be provided.
