Practice Healing: Nonviolence as a Way of Life

We are looking at the writings and talks of Kazu Haga whose work and understanding of nonviolence is a personal stance of Ahimsa, in which we refrain from harming anyone.  This includes ourselves, our loved ones, family, community and the larger world.  We tend to have patterns of speech, action and thoughts that react automatically in certain contexts, and some of those are actually quite negative.  Patterns can also be inherited, and we can inherit them from family, community, and organizations as well as larger cultural formations.   Let's look at this important work together as another source of wisdom in which principles are aligned with Buddhism to awaken compassion and mindfulness toward creating peace for all beings.
